Laura Walker

Laura has dedicated 25 years to the fitness industry, loving every moment of her work. With expertise in exercise therapy, she consistently provides valuable services to improve her clients’ health. Laura’s goal is to empower individuals to be physically active and understand the impact of food on their bodies. She believes that knowledge is the key to success and finds joy in guiding people towards positive health choices.

Throughout her career, Laura has gained extensive knowledge and experience by working in various settings. She began by teaching fitness at private nurseries in Aberdeen and later transitioned to delivering community fitness classes for individuals with heart health issues. She was then invited to the Diabetic department at ARI, where she established a referral system for fitness and information classes, providing a safe environment for individuals with diabetes to exercise and make lifestyle choices for their health.

Laura expanded her practice to include falls prevention and back care community classes in Aberdeen. In 2022, she became one of the four directors of Blueberry, leading the fitness for health movement in the community. She now shares her knowledge and experience with the next generation of fitness professionals, benefiting the health of local Aberdeen communities.

Karen Arthur

Karen Arthur is a former corporate CEO, and is now a multi award-winning Executive Coach, specifically working with CEO’s and Leaders who are driven to create a high performing business and with high performing people. Karen works with CEO’s and leaders to elevate, leadership development, business strategy and organisational dynamics.


Karen previously headed up a major Scottish 3rd sector organisation with Community Interest Companies within the group.  Karen brings a wealth of experience in 3rd sector governance and funding applications.

Innes Walker

Innes, an Aberdeen native, holds a BA in Social Studies from RGIT and a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work. He practiced social work in Aberdeen, Renfrew, and Edinburgh before joining Grampian Police. During his 30-year career, he worked primarily in CID and operational policing, ultimately retiring as Deputy Divisional Commander of Northeast Division, Police Scotland. In this role, he oversaw Local Policing, Local Crime, and Performance Management.

Post-retirement, Innes became City Centre Manager at Aberdeen Inspired Business Improvement District, collaborating with partners to ensure a thriving, safe, and clean city center for businesses. He actively participates in initiatives to regenerate the city center and repopulate Union Street.

Innes, a sports enthusiast and Dons supporter, is married with four adult children. He enjoys basketball, running, swimming, weightlifting, rock music, and reading. Additionally, he volunteers as a Director for Aberdeen Blueberry Wellness and as Deputy Launching Authority for Aberdeen RNLI.

Alan Moir

I am a Partner in local Accountancy and Taxation business Fyfe Moir & Associates and have been in the profession since 1979. I previously was Practice Manager of a five Office local accountancy firm and also had a spell running my own consultancy business.

I am passionate about all things Aberdeen, from the City to the Football Club. Over the years I have worked with charitable organisations in the City to try to improve lives. I am delighted to be part of the Blueberry experience.
